Liquor Cabinet Privacy Policy

Liquor Cabinet is made by Third Rail Platform, a brand of 3RC, L.L.C. (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and there are no ads or ad trackers.
Using the app without an account
You can browse drinks, build a cabinet and save favorites without signing in. That information stays on your device and isn’t sent to us.
What we collect with an account
If you create an account, we store:
- Sign-in details: your email address, or the name and email that Apple or Google share when you use Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google. If you use Hide My Email, we only see Apple’s relay address. Email passwords are stored hashed by our sign-in provider; we never see them.
- What you save in the app: your cabinet, favorites, notes and ratings, Restock list, the drinks you’ve made, your versions of recipes, recipes you import, and your unit preference.
- What you send us: drink suggestions and suggested recipe fixes, including any source you include.
- Membership and usage counts: whether Premium is on, and how many photo scans and recipe imports you’ve used, so we can apply free limits.
What we don’t collect
- Photos. When you add items by photo, the picture is processed on your phone and isn’t uploaded or stored by us.
- Location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or browsing activity in other apps.
- Payment details. Premium is billed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your card or Apple account details.
How we use it
We don’t sell or rent your information, use it for advertising, or share it for others’ marketing.
- To run the app: show what you can make, keep your bar in sync across devices, and apply Premium and free limits.
- To review the drinks and fixes you suggest and improve the catalog.
- To answer you if you contact us.
Services that handle data for us
- Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and server functions. Your account data is stored there.
- Apple and Google handle Sign in with Apple and Continue with Google. Apple also handles App Store purchases.
- Instacart: when you choose Order these from Restock, the item names on your list are sent to Instacart to build a cart. Nothing else about you is sent. Instacart’s own privacy policy applies once you’re on Instacart.
- Recipe import: when you import from a link, our server fetches that public web page to read the recipe. The link and the recipe you save are kept with your account; the page itself isn’t kept.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data until you delete it or your account. Deleting your account also deletes the suggestions you’ve sent. Changes we’ve already made to the public catalog stay, but they aren’t linked to you.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time in the app: Account › Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything saved to it, and disconnects Sign in with Apple if you used it. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription; manage that in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
You can also email us to ask for a copy of your data or to have it deleted.
Age
Liquor Cabinet is for adults of legal drinking age (21 or older in the U.S.). We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and each account can only read and change its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
